Smoothies are a great way to get your servings of fruits and veggies. The truth of the matter is, I do not like a lot of stuff…but, I’m trying. Using different veggies and fruits in my smoothies allow me to hide the veggie and enjoy the nutrient.
I’m a sucker for smoothies. I enjoy a smoothie anytime of the day…Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, it does not matter. The morning smoothie maker at my house is my daughter. Yet, she will be heading off to college soon. Oh, this peanut butter smoothie taste great (peanut butter, banana, yogurt, almond milk)!
What’s your go to smoothie?
I know a smoothie prep routine will come in handy. I like the idea of prepping the smoothies ingredients and put them in the freezer bags. This will help out a lot due to the struggle I have on any day that is not a Saturday or Sunday….time to make my smoothie.
The ingredients ready to empty into my Nutribullet every morning is ideal. I don’t have to think about the flavor type. Grab and blend! I think this will be a helpful method to get the smoothies going in the morning. Some great simple recipes along with the freezing method is on Live Simple blog. If I am out and about and in need of a smoothie, I will pull up to one of these spots.
My 3 Favorite Smoothie Spots
Family Health Market Smoothie Zone in Frisco, TX is my all time favorite spot. My go to smoothie at this place is the Green Machine or Berry Green Machine smoothie. It’s great to roll through the drive-thru and on my way to work and enjoy the sips on the highway. It’s filling and tasty.
#2 and #3 are chains you might be familiar with. When I go to one of these, I like to try something different. Well only if I have time to go through the menu. A girl need a little time to decide.
A new discovery, Fresh Healthy Café in Prosper, TX is on my list to try. I will make it there this weekend.
If you are not into smoothies you can always try other menu items. Go ahead and stop by and enjoy some greens and fruit.
