The Ease of a Parfait
A yogurt parfait is an easy and tasty snack to put together on a whim. There are a ton flavor combinations to enjoy something different every day. With school back in session, a parfait will work as an afternoon snack. You can make them ahead or store the toppings for the kids to get to easily. A five-year-old can put one together and really feel like a success. If you are planning a brunch, set up a parfait buffet station. Allowing the guest to create their own toppings and serving size. Choose an array of toppings even if you think it would not fair well. Make sure you add some things you do not care for. For me, that will be coconut. I like the flavor but not the texture. Chewing coconut is a no go for me. However, your guest might love it. Think outside of the box and try some corn flakes, fruit loops, and peanuts.

A yogurt parfait is a good in the morning, afternoon and as a night. Oh Yeah, it just works for breakfast, snack, and dessert. My preference is vanilla Greek yogurt. However, with all the toppings you can choose from a non-plain flavor might be a better choice.
Toppings
Some of my favorite toppings on parfait include the following:
-
Granola
-
Blueberries
-
Strawberries
-
Honey
-
Chia Seeds
-
Chocolate Chips
You simply alternate your choice of toppings to make your desired parfait. You can definitely have one every day of the week. A parfait can take the place of froyo (frozen yogurt). Honestly, this is how I treat myself. Just have a parfait topped with whatever I’m feeling to satisfy my taste buds. Like I said, this snack is good any time of the day.
What are your favorite toppings on a parfait?
