Prince, a Music Icon
Heavy heart after hearing the news about Prince. Gone at 57 years on April 21, 2016. Too soon. I must admit it did not register right away. I did not want to believe it when a co-worker mention the news. I was in the middle of trying to put out a hot ticket item on my desk. I asked are you sure. I mean you know how news float around on the internet. When she replied, “reliable news sources are reporting it. My heart dropped. This is a man I feel can make a room stand still when he enters. Big presence for a man standing at 5’2”.

Prays to his family, friends and fans
Remembering the artist
Iconic artist
No one compares musically.
Creativity at best. He was truly one of a kind.
Each note and instrument created and inspired us.
There is no doubt his music will live on. Best Selling songs I jammed to on my drive home from work. There are many songs I can sing along and love. Some of my favorite songs in no particular order:
-
When Doves Cry
-
Purple Rain
-
The Most Beautiful Girl in the World
-
Diamonds and Pearls
-
How Come U Don’t Call Me Anymore
Legendary music…

I do not recall comparing or hearing anyone else compare another artist to Prince. Honestly, as you listen to music today, you pretty much guaranteed to have a comparison. “Oh, they remind me off…”. No comparison to Prince/The Artist/Symbol…ONE OF A KIND. Prince was truly a unique artist. Oh yes, we can not forget about the epic fashion. Prince was a full package that united music and people like no other. I love that he was so private with his personal life and stayed true to that. Respected for that. As fans, we need to understand that their job is what we love. We do not have to be part of the personal aspect of their lives. Especially if they choose to not share it. Personal business is not everyone’s business. Enjoy and appreciate their talents.
A legacy of its own.
