Why I Love Moisture Miracle (And You Should, Too!)
Are you suffering from lack of moisture in your hair? Does your hair like coconut oil? If you are in the natural hair community, you know a while back many said why they “do not use coconut oil”. Wellllll…..I have one head of thick hair and my hair. My hair is fine with using coconut oil.
I only use what my hair like and need when it is time to cater to it. I am not one to hop on a bandwagon when something doesn’t work for someone else’s hair. That is not how you decide on your hair care regime. Or anything else for that matter. USE what works for you.
I have rocked with African Pride Moisture Miracle hairline since it arrived in the mail. I received this line in my April CurlBox. If you are not familiar with CurlBox, it is a monthly subscription providing full-size hair care products. African Pride products is not a new line for me. I haven’t used it in a long time.
These products are some of the favorites I have received in this subscription. You can imagine receiving products every month and trying some you might not pick up in the store. I do not buy products anymore. Well unless the box introduces me to a must-have.
I have thick, kinky coils and I keep reaching for this product line on wash days. Love it!

So, let’s get into these products.
Pre-Shampoo (Detangle & Condition)
The focus ingredients are aloe and coconut water. The claims are to moisture, detangle and condition the natural hair, leaving it nice and soft. My tangles melt away, making my wash that much easier. After I apply the pre-poo my hair is in about 4-6 twist under a shower cap.
Shampoo (Nourish & Shine)
This shampoo is for nourish & shine. The focus ingredients in the shampoo are honey and coconut oil. The curl box did not ship with the shampoo. This was probably the first time I went out to buy something outside of the products in the monthly subscription box. Although, I had the pre-shampoo I wanted to know what I was missing out on with the shampoo. I am happy with this buy.
Conditioner (Nourish & Restore)
OMG!!! The focus ingredients are honey, chocolate, and coconut oil. Armed and ready to nourish and restore. I keep chocolate in my shower. I’m so satisfied when I use this conditioner. No calorie intake from this nourishment. The dime-size amount (really several dimes) of chocolate for each section is heavenly. I use a wide tooth comb to release any remaining tangles and work the product thru. I end up with about 6-8 twist.
Heat Activated Masque (Detox & Soften)
The deep conditioner to help detox and soften your hair. The focus ingredients are Moroccan Clay and shea butter. I tend to leave this on longer than the recommended 30 minutes when not using heat. We all get distracted when deep conditioning our hair. It is 15 minutes if you use heat. Let the detoxing begin.

Leave-in Cream (Hydrate & Strengthen)
My Love!!! This leave-in-cream is hydration powerhouse. My hair loves this stuff. The focus ingredients are coconut oil and baobab oil. Once I rake this product thru my hair, my curls pop. This is my must-have from this product line. Hands down will become one of my leave-in staples.
5 Essential Oils (Strengthen & Protect)
The product to seal it all. This five essential oil will strengthen and protect. The key ingredients are castor, grapeseed, argan, coconut, and olive oils. I think this is the perfect combination. I will keep a bottle of this mixture, even if it is a DIY combo.
What hair care product have you tried and went crazy over the first time?
